Please order early if you need a First Communion set for your American Girl doll. I will need to know your First Communion date in order to plan my work accordingly. There is a pull down menu in the shopping cart with dates for you to select. This is a required field so if you get some sort of error, it's because you will need to go back and select a date. I have included the rest of April and all of May dates.

It goes to a page on my Barbie clothes site where you fill out the form, just your name and email is all I ask for. Please be patient while I gather subscribers together. This newsletter should allow me to keep customers aware of my various deadlines for holidays or if I have a new product or accessory item. I hate junk mail too so rest assured, your information will not be used for anything except this email newsletter.

For handmade American Girl or 18 inch doll clothes, I am hoping to offer you some different things along with the same great quality and service you receive at my sister site Barbee and Friends Doll Clothes. Kitt's has been online now for several years and has enjoyed some steady growth. Thank you to anyone who has ordered from me or my friend Holly. As with all handmade items, please allow at least 3 or 4 weeks from the time you order. Then if you receive your order sooner, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Since I enjoy sewing clothes for and collecting American Girl dolls, I thought it was only natural to want to put up a second website dedicated to these younger but larger cousins of Barbie. Please be patient and keep checking as I add items and make new products. This is a work in progress and is moving a little bit slow due to my main site's sales and growth but I want to sell items from this site too.

I have quite a nice variety of shoes but just haven't had time to add them to this site yet. I have added the option of buying them along with some of the outfits though. I also have some basic underclothing that I was able to purchase as a convenience to my customers. This frees me and Holly up for making actual outfits when I can find small things like underwear, socks, tights and cami tops to sell as accessories. I even purchased a small supply of dolly size croc shoes, those fun sandals with all the holes in them! You can even get little add-ons to go with them just like some kids add to their sandals. Now all I need are 50 hours in a day to add all these great things to the website.

In order to have a little more outfit variety, I have asked my friend Holly from New York to let me offer some of her beautiful American Girl size doll clothes too. Since our items ship from our respective homes in Ohio and New York, it would be great if you could place 2 separate orders if you are choosing items from each of us. Holly's items are clearly marked and you'll be able to tell they are hers because she uses the cute Scenes and Settings backgrounds for her pictures.  On some of her outfit pages, you are given the option of ordering shoes and/or tights. These will be shipped from me. Shipping/handling charged will be sufficient because it is based on quantity. In fact, if it's excessive, I will adjust the charge amount or refund your PayPal account.

I have also started offering select manufactured outfits just to help have some variety that is ready and waiting to mail out to you. No one likes to wait but I feel like if I can have a few items that are "pack and ship" type things, then people won't feel so bad about waiting for items that need to be sewn from scratch. This will give you a bigger selection of items. And don't worry, the company I order from has quality items--I wouldn't have it any other way. Having these premade items that fit American Girl dolls (as well as Gali Girls, Springfield, etc) will definitely help during the busy Christmas season! Normally handmade items can take 3-4 weeks since I have orders coming from my Barbie clothes site as well. Ordering well in advance of your event is always a great idea!

REGARDING CHECKOUT: Kitt's now has its very own one-stop shopping cart. No more random buttons or wondering which cart to use. You can still use your old faithful friend, PayPal with my new shopping cart. Just select it during checkout. There is a comment box to write in during checkout, for example, the style of slipper you might be needing or a shoe color. Or you can ask a question about your order by using the comment box.

Just a quick rule of thumb: Dolls pictured wearing the clothing are from my collection or are Holly's models and they are not included with the outfit. Any shoes, doll stands or other accessories shown in pictures are also not included with the set. The exception to this would be the American Girl size First Communion outfit which does include shoes, tights and a small cross necklace. Any items included will be clearly indicated in the description. I write long descriptions but it does pay to read everything and know what you are agreeing to as far as my terms when it comes to checkout time. I promise I won't give you a quiz over it but please indulge me and read what I spend lots of time writing.
